Alt21.dev is a development studio for the legal web. We build and maintain the technical foundation behind firm and publisher sites so they stay stable, adaptable, and under their owner’s control—through vendor changes, strategy shifts, and the normal chaos of digital work.

We exist to make legal publishing infrastructure something firms don’t have to worry about.

Our job is to keep websites, data, and identities secure, portable, and firmly under client ownership—no matter who handles the creative or marketing layer. Whether you work with a national agency, a local freelancer, or an in-house team, your foundation stays yours.

  • The Legal Examiner (TLE) — a national and local publishing network where attorneys and legal professionals contribute analysis and reporting.
  • publish.law — vendor-agnostic hosting and managed services for Ghost, WordPress, and Webflow, giving firms clear ownership and flexibility without dependency.

Community & Open Infrastructure

  • Open Legal Publishing Network (OLPN) — a public framework for decentralized identity and verifiable publishing in the legal web.
  • mastodon.law — a federated social platform for the legal community, encouraging open dialogue and professional connection without the noise of corporate platforms.
